I was switching up the “look” of my laptop today and decided to DIY my own desktop wallpaper! And because I like it so much, and because I like YOU all so much, I’m sharing it here!
This was made with Canva’s “Desktop Wallpaper” template, though everything I put on it was placed by me, using some of my favorite public domain images and some elements from Canva.
The image of the woman drinking tea is from Pexels, and the flowers, moths/butterflies, ink blots and vintage paper backgrounds were found on Pixabay. The ACTUAL origins of these images is probably from vintage books and library collections, but what’s important is that they’re public domain and thus free for anyone to use! I tweaked the color settings and opacity on various elements using Canva’s built-in tools, which I find extremely useful.
Anyway, here’s the wallpaper:
The quote is:
Dreams are the touchstones of our character. Henry David Thoreau
which I found on the (also very useful) BrainyQuote.com.
Update: here’s a version without the text, if you prefer that:
It should fit most modern monitor sizes, with a little adjusting. Let me know if you like this and if you’re interested in more wallpapers in the future!
